Recognised with international awards at film festivals around the globe, the cinema from the Portuguese-speaking world is still mostly unknown to the general public. The Lusophone Film Fest is a showcase of this thriving cultural production in cities and towns across the World.
The Lusophone world is a 240 million strong community promoting 80 film festivals and cinema awards every year.
It's being an exciting ride!
Since the first edition in Nairobi in 2014, we created a community that shares our enthusiasm for Portuguese-speaking cinema. We've screened shorts, feature films, documentaries and animations in cities and towns across the World.
We are always looking to support you if you feel like joining our journey and start organising a Lusophone Film Fest in your city.
